The measurements refer to the garment, not the body. The manufacturer's chart uses Asian sizes, which may fit one or two sizes smaller than your usual European size: choose according to the measurements without applying an automatic conversion.
If you are between sizes, the manufacturer recommends the larger size. Manual measurement may result in a difference of 2–3 cm.
